12th Annual Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo

This year, Fort Kearny will be celebrating their 12th year for the Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo on May 12th. Midway Auto Dealership is happy to be a Platinum Sponsor for this amazing event. This is a free Expo that is directed towards families and kids of all ages. Participants will experience hands-on experience skills such as throwing spears and tomahawks, fishing, kayaking, shooting ranges (shotgun, air rifle and Nerf gun), outdoor cooking, hunting and fishing demos, archery, bowfishing, camping skills, climbing wall, and many more activities!

New attractions to look forward to at this years Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo will include World Champion Timber Tina’s Lumberjills. This is the first and original all woman’s logging sport entertainers where they will be throwing axes, log rolling, underhand chopping, and cross-cut sawing. Other new events will be a challenging rope course as well as fish filleting where experts show a demo how to fillet fish that has been caught during the Expo.

Each year the Outdoor Expo strives to meet the needs of anyone who is interested in outdoor lifestyle no matter their age or previous experience. The event is from 9:00am to 4:00pm on May 12th. It will be held at fort Kearny State Recreation Area which is just south of Kearney and a permit is required for each vehicle coming into the park.
